About the service

Straight teeth. This is the hallmark of a beautiful smile. Who doesn’t like the idea of that? If you are an adult who wants a straighter, healthier, more attractive smile, we invite you to learn more about Invisalign. We are proud to offer this treatment to patients of our CV Dental group office, and would be happy to consult with you to discuss what is possible for your smile.

How is Invisalign Different?

Invisalign is an excellent option for adults and even for many teens who want to correct misalignment. Initially, this innovative aligner method of straightening teeth was more about cosmetics than extensive correction, but this has changed significantly in the 15+ years the system has been available. With every case, the makers of the Invisalign aligner method continually noted and changed aspects of treatment that needed attention. This has led to significant improvements – and substantial benefits for patients.

Today, patients may turn to Invisalign to straighten a turned tooth, or to close a gap. This treatment can create space between teeth that are overlapped and correct bite problems including over-bite, under-bite, and cross-bite. That’s quite a bit of growth for a simple, discreet, and comfortable aligner system!

Why Choose Invisalign?

Patients of our CV Dental group office tend to have a very clear reason for choosing clear aligners (pun intended!). Invisalign isn’t braces. It is a system in which your only real job is to insert clear plastic aligners that have been custom made to progressively move your teeth. When you want to eat or enjoy a snack or beverage, take your aligners out. Before you insert them, rinse your mouth and your aligners with water, then back into place they go. Every two weeks, you will switch to another set of aligners. As the months of your treatment pass, you will see the smile you have always wanted reveal itself. Throughout this time, we will schedule progress checks here in our office about every 4 to 6 weeks.

Invisalign is not only about comfort, convenience, or appearance – although those are great advantages! A benefit that cannot be overlooked is the fact that, without the constant presence of brackets and wires, it is much easier to keep your teeth and gums clean and in optimally healthy condition through the course of treatment.
